Thermos: Protecting Brand Integrity While Driving Profitable Amazon Growth

The Brief
Thermos is one of the most established names in its category, with more than 120 years of brand heritage behind it. The team came to Venture Forge with a clear objective: drive stronger year-on-year growth on Amazon while protecting the integrity of the Thermos brand.
Alongside its growth ambitions, Thermos was facing a wider brand protection challenge. Competitors were unlawfully using the Thermos name in product titles, creating confusion for shoppers, weakening branded visibility within search results and putting pressure on the brand’s position in the category.
Venture Forge was brought in to help Thermos take back control of its brand space, improve the quality of its Amazon execution and deliver stronger commercial performance across the account.

Our Approach
To support long-term growth, we focused on the areas that would make the biggest commercial difference: brand protection, advertising efficiency, account performance and inventory health.
We began by identifying competitor listings and catalogue issues that were affecting brand visibility and undermining Thermos’ position on Amazon. This gave the client a clearer route to report infringements, tighten control of branded search visibility and protect brand integrity more effectively.
Alongside this, we worked across the VF-managed range to strengthen overall trading performance. That included improving the commercial foundations of the account, supporting stronger conversion and helping Thermos scale in a way that protected profitability rather than chasing revenue at any cost.
Advertising also played a key role. We scaled activity significantly to increase visibility, capture more demand and support sales growth, while keeping efficiency tightly controlled. The result was stronger share of voice without compromising wider account health.
At the same time, we supported a healthier inventory position across the managed range, reducing aged stock exposure and improving sellable inventory levels so the account was in a stronger position to sustain growth.
